Dermaroller - Homecare - Roll back the years

Dermaroller is an original concept that is a German designed and patented medical device. Its efficiency has been proven by scientific and clinical findings for anti-ageing, skin regeneration, texture improvement, collagen induction therapy (CIT) and hair loss therapy.

The Dermaroller is like a small paint-roller with fine needles. On the surface of the Dermaroller, 24 circular arrays of eight (total of 192) fine stainless steel needles are found. This device creates tiny micro-channels into the skin when rolled over it. The length of each needle on the Homecare device is 0.2mm. It successfully penetrates through the strata corneum. They are short enough though, not to be painful. The Dermaroller will pierce the skin and allow a pathway for active ingredients. Epidermal proliferation is also achieved and, over time, an increase in thickness of 30 to 50% dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Micro-channels are created when the roller is rolled over the strutum corneum. This transdermal delivery system will allow any kind of skin stimulating ingredient to penetrate from vitamins, minerals or peptides.

The Homecare Dermaroller is intended for use in the privacy of your own home and can be purchased here for quick delivery.

Dermaroller: Medical

The Australian register of therapeutic goods lists Dermaroller as a class 11a medical device.

Transdermal needle roller - single use. A sterile device designed to be rolled over the skin to create high density minute skin punctures to stimulate tissue regeneration and improve the appearance of the skin. It is a hand-operated cylindrical roller, studded with rows of short micro-needles, that rotate around an axle attached to handle. Also known as micro-needling, this skin treatment technique is used for skin rejuvenation, collagen induction therapy, to treat stretch marks, acne scarring, hyper-pigmentation, wrinkles and hair loss therapy.

Dermarollers are clinical treatments, with treatment intervals 6 to 8 weeks apart. Type III collagen is stimulated with each treatment. Since maturation of type III to type I taking a minimum of six weeks, treatment intervals any sooner is not recommended.

With collage induction therapy only three treatments are recommended. Biopsies can show an increase of 1000% of new collagen after one treatment.

Scar reduction therapy will need 3 to 5 treatments for a reduction of 70 to 80% of visible scars.
